Shandong Vocational College of Technology actively practices the development concept of "global vision, international standards, characteristic education, and vocational education serving the country", and strives to promote international development. It has achieved remarkable results in Sino foreign cooperative education projects, internationalization of teaching staff, international student education, overseas education, and promotion of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries. The college is currently one of the first batch of "Jingshi International Colleges" under the Ministry of Education's "Humanistic Exchange and Economic Cooperation Project", the vice chairman unit of the China Vocational Education External Cooperation Alliance, the international education base of the Shandong Provincial Department of Education's Study Abroad Center, the PwC International Talent Training Base in Australia, the vice chairman unit of the Ministry of Education's Sino German Vocational Education Cooperation Education Alliance, the initiator unit of the Luban Workshop Construction Alliance, the chairman unit of the Jining Study Abroad Service Industry Association, and the "Advanced Collective of International Talent Exchange Work" in Jining City. It has been selected as one of the "Top 50 International Influential Higher Vocational Colleges" and "Top 50 Influential Asia Pacific Vocational Colleges".

The school actively responds to the national "the Belt and Road" initiative, vigorously promotes overseas education, and actively serves "going global" enterprises. The college now has two overseas campuses in Australia and Thailand, five overseas Confucius Six Arts Schools and Luban Workshops, aiming to export China's outstanding vocational education achievements overseas, serve Chinese enterprises going global, help production capacity cooperation, and cultivate technical and skilled talents suitable for the construction of the "the Belt and Road".

The college actively expands its external cooperation and exchanges, and has established deep cooperation relationships with 70 universities and research institutes in countries and regions such as Australia, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. It has now launched five cooperative education projects, including the Accounting (Sino Australian Cooperative Education) project, the Automotive Inspection and Maintenance Sino German Cooperative Education project, the Computer Application Technology Sino British Cooperative Education project, the Tourism Management Sino Singapore Cooperative Education project, and the Visual Communication Design and Production Sino Korean Cooperative Education project. Through comprehensive evaluation of enrollment, individual examination enrollment, spring college entrance examination, and summer college entrance examination, students first enter Shandong Polytechnic Vocational College to study full-time for 3 years in professional courses and language courses. After obtaining a vocational degree, eligible students can choose to enter foreign cooperative colleges to study 1 year of undergraduate courses and 1 year of master's courses (the Sino Korean cooperative education program is a 2-year master's course) to obtain undergraduate and master's degrees recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education. At present, the annual overseas rate of students majoring in Sino foreign cooperative education in our college is 75%, and the graduation rate after studying at foreign cooperative universities is 100%. There are currently 1500 students enrolled in international education programs across various majors and levels, as well as 256 international students from 38 countries. At present, the cooperative education program has trained 3000 international innovative talents, sent 157 students to pursue master's degrees, and 256 international students have returned to China after completing their studies.

The college is committed to cultivating high-quality international innovative talents who integrate Chinese and Western cultures and have both internal and external cultivation. It has a teaching team with doctoral and master's degrees as the core from countries such as the UK, US, Canada, and Australia, as well as an experienced and capable management team, including 8 foreign teachers, 16 Australian international curriculum certified teachers, 16 Sino German Nuohao Automotive Education "dual system" certified teachers, and 50 high-level returnee teachers. The college collaborates with foreign partner institutions to establish a professional curriculum system that meets international standards, draws on the international certification standards of the Sydney Agreement, fully introduces ISO9000 quality evaluation indicators and talent standards, and cultivates high-quality innovative talents that meet international standards. We have continuously deepened international school enterprise cooperation with multinational enterprises such as Jinko Group, PwC Australia, and Genting Malaysia, and have built an international talent training platform that runs through the entire process of training, further education, internships, and employment.

The college will make full use of the existing international school running foundation, expand the internationalization of education, actively explore a new mode of international school running for higher vocational colleges, serve the Made in China 2025 and the "the Belt and Road" initiative, deepen international exchanges and cooperation, constantly improve the level of international talent training, significantly improve the international status, influence and competitiveness of vocational education of the college, and promote the college to become a leading and world-class higher vocational college in China.
